Silver is striated, melted, worked with a file and then smoothed, a unique, raw work.
Before becoming a piece of jewelry, I entirely sculpted it in wax in order to melt it into silver.
I then applied a patina to give my work even more relief.
This pendant in solid 925/1000 silver (12.6 grams) is set with an emerald (1.12 carats). This mineral belongs to the silicate group, a variety of beryl, and its green color comes from traces of chrome, vanadium, and sometimes iron.
Emerald is one of the four precious gemstones, along with diamond, sapphire, and ruby.
This piece measures 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm, the silver is patinated, intentionally aged, giving it a unique effect enhanced by its stone and shape.
